Salary: $17.05 to $18.81 per hour DOE

The Harney County Weed Control office has two full-time seasonal position open. This person(s) must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license. Oregon Department of Agriculture Public Applicators license with Agriculture and/or Regulatory Weed categories preferred but not required initially.

Job Description: This position will work cooperatively with local agencies to inventory, map, and treat noxious weeds affecting Harney County mostly from ATV/UTV.

Qualifications / Experience Level Required:

Job Requirements: This individual must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pack 45 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Needs to be able to use and read topographical maps, GPS units, and digital camera. This individual needs to be self-motivated, reliable and be able to work as a team member as well as independently; able to operate and maintain spray equipment- including: ATV, UTV, pick up, sprayer unit, and trailer. There will be some required overnight stays away from home and long hours.

The position will be contingent upon passing a background check
